The E.P.E. Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), M.P., is a body attached to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, through the Secretary of State for Energy, on which it depends organically.Contributing to the achievement of the objectives that our country has acquired in terms of improving energy efficiency, renewable energies and other low-carbon technologies constitutes the strategic framework of its activity.In this sense, the IDAE carries out dissemination and training actions, technical advice, development of specific programs and financing of projects of technological innovation and replicability. Likewise, the Institute leads an intense international activity within the framework of different European programs and cooperation with third countries.On the other hand, Royal Decree-Law 20/2012, of July 13, on measures to guarantee budget stability and to promote competitiveness, expands the functions of IDAE to support technologies aimed at the decarbonisation of generation electrical; provide assistance to the Ministry in administrative, judicial or arbitration procedures in which the General State Administration is a party; and develop as its own instrumental means and technical service, in the terms provided by its Statute, and in everything related to its purposes and functions, the work entrusted to it by the General State Administration as well as by its agencies and entities. dependents, who are considered to be the contracting authority.
